The All Progressives Congress (APC) Plateau chapter, under the aegis of Plateau Project Two, has pledged to fight and prevent the questionable processes leading to the party’s various primaries.
During a meeting at Rayfield, Jos, attended by most of the party’s gubernatorial hopefuls, Plateau Project Two was announced, revealing that party delegates had not been elected, in addition to undemocratic procedures and imposition, a skewed process that had Governor Simon Bako Lalong forcing a candidate onto the party.
The group demands include “pursuing and concluding all court cases related to the same grievances.”
A committee of elders and representatives from all the Plateau Project Two aspirants was set up to closely monitor the political situation and make recommendations to the Council, as a unanimous decision of the members concluded. Barrister Oumar Shittien was elected as the Council Chairman.
