President of the Nigeria Soccer Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick has mentioned Nigeria and Benin Republic could co-host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) stories Pinnick made this identified whereas talking with journalists in Lagos State on Tuesday.
The NFF President mentioned the Minister of Sports activities, Sunday Dare has given his endorsement on the bidding.
He disclosed that the Confederation of African Soccer (CAF) is more likely to withdraw the internet hosting proper of the 2025 AFCON from Guinea.
“We’re placing a bid collectively for a co-hosting of the event with the Benin Republic. The Minister of Sports activities has given his endorsement on the bidding.
“It’s excessive time Nigeria hosted a global event as a result of there are a lot of benefits hooked up to internet hosting of such competitions.
“There are numerous nations bidding for the competitors; we’re assured of getting the nod from CAF. We’re working with the ministry of sports activities to make sure that Nigeria will get the internet hosting proper,” Pinnick mentioned.
TNG stories Nigeria final hosted the AFCON 2000, co-hosting with Ghana.
