Owo attack: Police confirm bombing at construction site

The anti-bomb squad confirmed that an Improvised Explosive System (IED) was used within the assault on the Craneburg Development Firm web site in Owo, Ondo State, the Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Oyeyemi Oyediran has confirmed.

Oyediran acknowledged this in an announcement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Funmilayo Odunlami, on Thursday in Akure.

He inspired well-meaning residents to cooperate with the Police in the midst of the investigations, stressing that the incident was promptly responded to by law enforcement officials protecting the jurisdiction.

In accordance with the commissioner, police personnel discovered the duo of 1 Rifum Lawrence aged 50 years, and Abraham Opara aged 45 years, with bullet wounds on the scene.

“They had been instantly taken to the Federal Medical Centre in Owo the place they had been admitted and are at present in steady situation.

He urged the folks of the State to be calm because the affected space had been cordoned off and investigations had begun to unravel the thriller behind the incident.
