The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has reacted to the discharge of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo from the Duchess International Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos, after a successful surgery.
SocialNaija recalls that Peter Obi, LP presidential candidate, has sent a message to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who recently underwent surgery on his leg after sustaining an injury while playing squash some time ago.
Peter Obi lauded the vice president’s decision to use the medical rehabilitation procedure in Nigeria in a post shared on Twitter.
The former Anambra State Governor believes that Nigerian leaders should invest in and use healthcare institutions in order to restore public confidence in them. He was glad that Osinbajo chose to have the surgery done at a Nigerian hospital rather than abroad.
Obi, in a tweet on Tuesday, wished Osinbajo a fast and full restoration and said his thoughts and prayers were with Osinbajo after he was discharged from the hospital.
He said: “His choice of following through with the medical rehabilitation process in Nigeria is commendable. As Nigerian leaders, we must restore confidence in our healthcare delivery institutions by patronizing and investing robustly in them.
Obi stated that It’s great that Osinbajo chose to have the surgery at a Nigerian hospital rather than flying abroad, he said.
Obi reiterated, the need to restore confidence in the nation’s healthcare delivery institutions by patronizing and investing heavily in them, is what is required.
